UK: Audi A4 B8 Alternator fault sometimes. Hello everyone, Vehicle: Audi A4 8k2 2.0 TDI 105kw 143ps. New Battery: 95 Ah 750CCA Non AGM battery. I have searched almost all threads and lots of youtube video regarding this issue and been to 3 mechanic and all recommened to change alternator and i changed to spare alternator and new battery.

Had the vehicle running at idling till the engine temp reaches around 103 degrees. And it stayed on 103 degrees for some minutes before the bottom hose started picking up heat. At the same time radiator outlet sensor started climbing in degrees. When bottom pipe became hot fans came on. Where the Audi A4 did show a weak link was the CVT (continuously variable transmission) used with the 2.7-litre turbodiesel. It never feels truly settled while also being sluggish when it comes to acceleration. Much better is the semi-automatic S tronic used with the 3.0-litre V6 diesel, although most drivers will be best served by the 1.8 TFSI
Step 8: Attach the 10" arm and 5/8" spark plug socket head to your socket wrench and insert gently down into the plug cavity. Place the head around the 5/8" mating surface of the plug and rotate gently until firmly in place. Begin twisting counter-clockwise to loosen the plug. Note - you may feel no resistance or little.
From what I can find, the B8 petrol was sold here with 120hp, 160hp, 180hp or 211hp (and some higher ones), from 2008-2011. The B8.5 was sold with 120hp, 170hp, 180hp and 211hp (also higher ones) from 2011-2015. However, I know that sometimes car dealers have a showroom car which is sold after the new model comes out, so having a car from with 6sF1g.
