#1 Asigion Feb 6, 2017 @ 7:15pm The map is large enough unless you want to play the game too much. There is plenty to explore and the quality of the map is extremely good. In time the game will expand and further maps will be added.
ATS Expansion v6.5. ATS Expansion will not be as ambitious as the original for obvious reasons. THERE ARE 3 REQUIRED FILES, THE MAP AND DEF FILES ARE DOWNLOADED TOGETHER, THE MODELS/ASSETS ARE A SEPERATE DOWNLOAD, THIS BEING DONE TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR THOSE WITH A LITTLE SLOWER INTERNET. I massively prefer ATS by now. Yes, on paper the ETS 2 has more content, more trucks, a bigger map, more mods, special transports and so on, but on a subjective level, the ATS is simply more fun (for me). The ATS has a more consistent map and I find the classic American Trucks like the W900 or the Pete 389 just so they're definitely casual games that are relaxing on the long open highways and almost become a puzzle game when it comes time to park your truck. I got ATS on sale for $5, it was worth it imo Reply reply
Both base games cost the same and so do their DLCs, so the best value would be the bundles with lots of map expansions. Look into the Map Booster bundle for ETS 2, or the Pacific Northwest bundle for ATS, they’re probably the best deals for the trucksim games, especially with the summer sale discount
